AllStaff Inc. is looking for a Vehicle Mechanic for a very exciting client in London, ON. Our client is one of the most sought after employers in London and the surrounding area.

About This Position:

You will be working as part of a team for the Customer Support Department. All tools and PPE will be provided to you. Using written work instructions, guidance of senior technicians, and your own skills and knowledge, you will be performing tasks related to Light Armoured Vehicles.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Conducting technical inspections and troubleshooting LAV systems
• Performing repairs, modifications, and retrofits
• Assisting with the preparation of repair estimates
• Provide advice, guidance ,and technical assistance to internal and external customers on vehicle maintenance issues and repair recommendations
• Prepare input for various management and log reports
• Provide technical, test and repair support to customers at their sites when required.

Qualifications:

• Truck, coach, or automotive interprovincial certification or qualified military fire control systems tech., military electro optical repair tech or heavy equipment tech.
• Minimum 1 year automotive mechanic experience
• Ability to drive Forklift, and operate Portable Cranes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Valid G drivers license, ability and willingness to obtain DZ license
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Able to work independently and take initiative
• Possess, or have ability and willingness to obtain Canadian Firearms Restricted Possession and Acquisition License
• Ability to travel extensively domestic/international for extended periods of time, including in areas of operational deployment with our customers.
• Significant preference will be given to applicants who have a University Degree or College Diploma, and have a valid Secret Level Security Clearance

Compensation

$24-$36/hour depending upon experience
